Shannon Hood

Shannon Hood is a senior consultant specializing in transition consulting services for elected and appointed government officials and executive staff teams. She has been a trusted adviser for senior executives and elected officials transitioning into new leadership positions since 1990. Her specialty is assisting government officials in developing highly effective staffs and efficient office processes. She is an expert in the state's budgeting process.

Shannon Hood has facilitated strategic planning, organizational development, and workflow improvement projects for state and local government agencies and more than 40 elected officials. She developed and conducted comprehensive training for more than 150 newly-elected legislators and several thousand staff members during the past ten years.

Ms. Hood served as chief of staff for two state senators and was appointed to positions by two governors. She served on the core transition staff for a third governor. She was staff director for the Assembly Committees on Appropriations and Budget, and was an adviser to leadership in the State Senate and Assembly. She is a graduate and former member of the board of directors for Leadership California.
